Lately it appears everyone and their degenerate uncle loves the Black Lips. We don’t really enjoy being pissed and thrown up on at shows, but whatever floats your boat. Apparently too many people <3 them, because their impromptu “hotline” has a full mailbox. They might be really into truckers and CB radios, but the whole concept doesn’t really work when no one picks up. And with all this adoration flying around, you’d think the boys could put more effort into their outgoing message: “Black Lips Hotline. Call us up today. Black Lips Hotline. Call us every day.” It sounds like a sound bite for the fucking 10 Spot by a transexual version of the Pointer Sisters. Good news is these guys are playing at the virtual Bowery Ballroom tonight @ 8. Do it or DIE.
