The meat-haters at Brooklynvegan.com received a special YouTube greeting from vLES alum Devin the Dude (Where’s our love, man?), plugging his upcoming show at Studio B. In other perpetually stoned developments, Devin just released a mixtape called Smoke Sessions 1 and is probably snuffing out a blunt while simultaneously sparking a joint as this is being typed. But seriously folks, the dearth of good hip-hop in today’s day and age is more than troubling—it’s downright depressing. That’s why if you live near anywhere near New York you should make a digital b-line to buy tickets for April 11th at Studio B where Def Jux up-and-comer Despot will open for the ridiculously underrated Prince Paul (Handsome Boy Modeling School, Gravediggaz, and De La motherfucking Soul’s producer!) and the Dude himself. No excuses if you’re close by because there WILL NOT be anything better to do that night.
