hi, my names alexis...i'm originally from vermont, grew up running around naked in the woods, became a devoted snow shredder, and eventually made my way to new york city to attend parsons & the new school for photography and writing. 10 years later, the city has officially become 'home', thanks to my amazing family of friends who i work with on various projects...i photo direct a magazine called 'bene', which is about all things italian, and also 'topic', which focuses on one subject per issue and showcases fine art photographers. my husband and i are travel photographers, and i have a consulting company called 'wildcat' with alli, also a host. we started wildcat because we wanted to produce creative events in new york city that all our friends could enjoy and be involved with...grassroots!
alli and i began work on this project last november, putting together a radical group of people that we've known over our years in the lower east side...we've gone to shows at bowery with slim morrison, played pool at max fish with macon and dorklord, and wandered down the streets of the lower east side with geneve, margaritas from 'the hat' in hand, looking for a house party...enjoy!
