KickStart is a program that offers emerging artists a simple pathway to
MTV by putting the choice back into the hands of the fans.
Bands!
To be a part of KickStart, start by signing up your band @ VLES.COM,
filling out your band profile, and uploading some music.
Then, head on over to the 'KickStart' page (this one!), click 'Sign Up
Now' and submit a track to KickStart. Eligible bands must submit their
tracks by May 28th.
Fans!
Starting on May 28th, registered fans of vLES can listen to KickStart
tracks on vLES.com/kickstart. Based on fan votes, tracks rise up the
vLES.com KickStart charts.
The following actions will be counted towards your favorite bands -
- Clicking "Hit" for a track
- Adding a song to your playlist
- Listening to a track from beginning to end
- And, if you really don't like a KickStart song, simply click 'Shit'
Details!
KickStart voting on VLES.COM goes from May 28th - June 16th.
On June 24th, vLES will announce the six KickStart finalists, chosen from
the top ten most voted on songs.
The finals will begin on June 30th in the venues of the virtual Lower East
Side, using videos from each of the finalists.
